The Kansas City Actors Theatre (KCAT) is pleased to announce the addition of Danny Baker and Carla Noack to its Board of Directors. Both have impressive credentials and extensive theatrical experience in acting, directing, fundraising and administration.

Mr. Baker is Director of Development with KCUR and has an extensive background in the theatre, having served as Managing Director of the Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis, and Managing Director of the Missouri Repertory Theatre (now Kansas City Repertory Theatre). He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from UMKC and an MA in Theatre from Villanova University. He is an Adjunct Lecturer in both Theatre and Business and Public Administration at UMKC.

Ms. Noack is Assistant Professor of Acting at the University of Missouri-KC and has acted and directed with theatre companies in Minnesota and Missouri. She has appeared in productions with the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Unicorn Theatre, Coterie Theatre, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre and UMKC among many others. She holds an MFA degree in Acting and Directing, and a BA degree in Theatre and English from the College of St. Benedict.

“Carla Noack’s tremendous talent and artistic enthusiasm will give us a welcome new perspective, and Danny Baker’s knowledge and institutional experience are going to be of enormous value to KCAT. Both fill important roles on our board, and we are delighted and honored that they have chosen to be part of the Actors Theatre,” said Board President John Rensenhouse.

The Kansas City Actors Theatre is celebrating its sixth season of performing classic and modern classic plays. Founded and still led by local working artists, KCAT is a collective of actors, stage managers, designers and community members who are dedicated to providing a theatrical experience of the highest quality, while focusing on the craft of the actor and the words of the playwright.
